I got a 2023 Hyundai Venue and wanted to cut costs through DIY oil change. Is this ok? Will I not be subject to warranty anymore after this? I wanna save money but still I know I'll save in the long run if I keep my warranty intact. I have the extended after all.

Here's the deal, technically no, but there'a a catch. If you screw up the oil change and that leads to damage, the dealer will wave and your warranty will be voided. If you ask me I wouldn't risk it, just in case. Not that it's an overly complicated process, but things can go wrong, so it depends how comfortable you are with this and if you actually know how to do it

Good news is as long as you're using the correct oil and filter, and keeping receipts and records, your warranty will stay valid. The magnuson moss warranty act protects you from being denied coverage just because you didn't go to the dealer.

It's risky but I guess just make sure you're following what Hyundai recommends in the manual if you really want to do it? You planning to do it soon or still weighing your options?

I'm all in for diy and stuff like that, especially since it's cutting down on costs, but is it really worth it?
