Lately, I've been pondering just how dependable features like lane assist, blind spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control really are. They can be lifesavers, no doubt, but it's a great reminder that even with all this tech, nothing beats staying alert and aware when you're behind the wheel.

I'm curious to hear from you all, how much do you trust these systems during your daily drives? Have they ever let you down, or have they come thru for you in a pinch?

Well I use lane assist and blind spot monitoring as backup, not gospel and you see adaptive cruise is handy on long stretches, but I've had it slam brakes hard or even coast too close more than once, as far as I'm concerned these systems are only as smart as the software lol, and last I checked, that software doesn't have instincts

Absolutely! I couldn't agree more. These systems can be really helpful, but let's be honest, they're far from perfect. They just can't match that gut feeling we get as humans. It's so important to stay alert and sharp while driving, you know?

Mine's saved me more than once! Blind spot monitoring has definitely alerted me to cars I missed. ACC is fantastic in traffic. I trust them as backup, not primary drivers ofc
