Oil pan leak on my Venue

I brought my Venue in for complimentary service, and the adviser said the oil pan gasket needs replacing under warranty. It has to stay overnight, which explains the small oil spot in my garage. The car only has 16,000 miles. My Mazda and Kia never leaked. Is this a assembly problem, or just poor quality control?

@Shakur, it's only 16000 miles, and I don't think it's because the gasket failed due to age or wear.
It points to a minor assembly problem at the factory. The gasket might have been slightly misaligned when the oil pan was installed, or a bolt wasn't torqued correctly.
It's not a common issue with the Venue, so it's most likely a one off assembly error rather than a widespread design flaw or poor quality of the part itself
